How does the authentication process take place?

Upon submission of the online application, authorised representatives and beneficial owners must authenticate themselves. To do this, you’ll need:

  • Your personal identity card or passport.
  • A smartphone, tablet computer, or PC/laptop with webcam
  • Your mobile phone number

The authentication takes place online using the IDnow eSign service. The procedures allow the contract to be concluded in the space of just a few minutes. The innovative, platform-independent procedure is patented and meets overall EU-wide legal criteria. Instead of requiring a handwritten signature, a qualified electronic signature (QES) is created. Legally speaking, this has the same degree of validity.

 

What happens after I have submitted the contract application?

After you have completely filled out and submitted the online application, your data will be reviewed. Upon approval of the application, you will receive a welcome email, and a short time later, you will receive your Degussa Bank Procurement Card for Amazon Business in the post. It can take up to 10 working days after the submission of your application for the card to arrive. How can the card be personalised?

If you want to personalise the card, you can use a second embossed line with a maximum of 19 characters. The content of this line can be chosen during the application process. Umlauts such as ä, ü, and ö must be written as ae, ue, or oe. You can use this space to display the name of your department, for example. Changes to the name row are not possible at a later date.

 

What fees are incurred with the use of my Procurement Card?

There is a one-time set-up fee of €99. There are also annual fees of €99. These are waived if you have a transaction balance of more than €20,000 in a 12-month period. The 12-month period begins with the date the card is issued by Degussa Bank.

 

Can I withdraw cash with my Procurement Card?

No, the Procurement Card cannot be used to withdraw cash. The Procurement Card is a virtual card. and can be used only with Amazon Business.

 

Is there a PIN?

No, there is no PIN.

 

How high is my drawing limit?

You have a drawing limit of €6,000. You can use this amount flexibly within a period of 56 days. Billing will always take place on the last day of the month. If you use only a portion of the drawing limit, the remainder will continue to be available to you for an additional 28 days.

 

What happens if I exceed my drawing limit?

If you exceed your Procurement Card’s card limit with a particular transaction, this transaction cannot be carried out.

 

How long is the repayment period for the Procurement Card?

The direct-debit collection will always take place 28 days from the day the billing statement is issued. The Degussa Bank Procurement Card for Amazon Business contributes to preserving your liquidity with an extended payment period of 56 days.

My Procurement Card is no longer valid. When and where can I get a new Procurement Card?

The Procurement Card is a purely virtual card. This means that if there is a temporary extension of the card’s validity, you will simply receive a new data letter with information on the card’s new expiration date. Your card’s number will not change.

 

I can’t use my Procurement Card to make payments. Why could this be?

Your drawing limit totals €6,000. You can use this amount flexibly within a period of 56 days. Billing will always take place on the last day of the month. If you use only a portion of the credit limit, the remainder will continue to be available to you for an additional 28 days. Expenditures that exceed this €6,000 limit will not be approved. In this case, you will be unable to carry out any further transactions.

How long does it take to register for Amazon Business?

The registration itself takes about five minutes. The subsequent review of your information can take up to three days. When converting an existing Amazon.de private-user account, you can continue to use your old account as usual during this time.

 

Is Amazon Business free to use?

Yes, it is free to register with Amazon Business. There is no obligation associated with your registration, and there is no minimum transaction level.
